Welcome to the Aberdeen University Taekwon-Do Resource Web Site. This site has been set up in order to
provide students and those interested in Taekwon-Do with
information about Taekwon-Do. The site is broken down according to your Taekwon-Do grade
(e.g. Blue Belts should look at the Blue Belt section);
there is also a Site
Map which should make it easier to navigate around as it is very easy to miss
some really good stuff! It, along with a link to this page, is always shown at the top of the screen.

Taekwon-Do, in general, is well known for its
wide variety of kicks; there are probably more kicks in
Taekwon-Do than any other martial art. We do do other
things such as blocking, punching, dodging, throwing,
sweeps along with many flying techniques and the occaisional push up or two.
There are various different styles of Taekwon-Do, we practice and teach
General Choi's ITF Taekwon-Do.

If you are interested in our School specifically you should visit this site www.autc.net which has all the School specific information on it. For those of you that are new to Taekwon-Do please do not be afraid to go along to a school and try it out. All you need is some loose fiting clothing and a willingness to learn - we'll show you the rest!
In any class there are usually a number of beginners so don't be afraid that you'll be the only one. Also beginners stand at the back so if you want to you can hide!

This site receives a (relatively) high number of visitors per month. The last time I checked we were averaging two thousand a month from over a hundred countries. I've removed the counter as it wasn't telling me anything of use really and was just slowing things down a little. I've always wanted this site to be fast loading so that those without broadband can access it (or on particularly slow university networks...). This site is not supposed to be pretty; if you want pretty you'd best go elsewhere. :)
I have tried to keep it standards compliant. The eXtensible HyperText Markup Language (XHTML) and Cascading StyeSheets (CSS) are W3C compliant throughout. You can click on the links at the bottom of each page to test this or you can click here to validate the whole site. I've also checked that all the links work using this tool. Meeting these standards is important to me as I think it reflects on the standards we set for out Students.

This page contains some info about me in case your interested.
